I can hardly contain my excitement over the arrival of the new wok at Platters. It will be going to Bridgeway Commons once that building nears completion, but we get a couple of months to practice with it.
Some of the cooks at Platters have been giving me a hard time about Asian week. It seems that in our menu cycle, this is the week that is heavy on stir fry dishes. And the week ends with chicken and pea pod stir fry tonight, a health option if I have ever seen one.
So in honor of the arrival of our newest piece of equipment we will offer a second stir fry, beef pepper steak. Here is hoping that everything goes as planned.
